Today we are not going down to the creek, but here are two pictures from yesterday's trip down there. I did meet a man and his young son on the path to the creek and he told me how he remembers being evacuated in 1972. It turns out he is the son of Thelma's (dog's name) owner. (Thelma's owner died suddenly two years ago.) The son, Mike is now living in his father's house and fixing it up to sell it.We are not going down to the creek today because there is a threat that the Lake Needwood dam could fail. This creek is a direct feed from that dam. Many people were evacuated again, 34 years later, in the middle of the night. If you have a pet, you and your pet(s) can go to the fairgrounds. How much fun would that be! So for today we are walking on high ground-school, library and around the neighborhood.
